Growth
Senior Account Manager
Own Ticketdotter's commercial growth. Lead the AM network across 6 regions while personally closing our highest-value promoter relationships.
Overview
Ticketdotter is a live event ticketing and management platform built specifically for event promoters — covering live music, comedy, boxing, sports events, business conferences, and more. We are bootstrapped, live, and growing — with 200+ promoters already on the platform, partnerships with O2 Academy Bristol and the Association of Independent Music, and ticket sales processed across many events, all built without a penny of paid marketing or an external sales team. That changes now. We are launching the Ticketdotter Account Manager network — a commission-only open-access programme designed to onboard 1,000 promoters across 6 regions (South, Midlands, East, North, Wales, and Spain) within 12 months. The Senior Account Manager is the person who leads that charge.
The role
The Senior Account Manager owns Ticketdotter's commercial growth. You are responsible for driving promoter onboardings, leading and developing the wider AM network, and managing the highest-value promoter relationships directly. You sit at the intersection of sales, team leadership, and business development.
This is not a managing-from-a-distance role. You will be recruiting your own promoters, making your own calls, attending your own events — while simultaneously coaching, motivating, and performance-managing a growing team of commission-only AMs across 6 regions.
Ticketdotter has proven the platform works and that promoters want what we offer. What we have not yet done is put a dedicated, experienced commercial leader behind the growth engine. This role is that leader — senior enough to run the network, experienced enough to train others, and hungry enough to drive their own numbers at the same time.
What you'll do
- Own the day-to-day management and performance of the Ticketdotter AM network across all 6 regions
- Recruit, onboard, and train new account managers — setting expectations clearly from day one
- Monitor individual AM performance and provide regular coaching, feedback, and support
- Identify underperforming AMs early and take action — retrain, redirect, or replace where necessary
- Run weekly team updates across the AM WhatsApp/Slack channels — platform stats, tips, wins, and recognition
- Maintain the AM leaderboard and drive healthy competition between regions and individuals
- Work with the CEO to design and implement bonus structures, referral incentives, and seasonal promotions
- Personally onboard high-value promoters — festival organisers, large-scale event companies, boxing promoters, corporate clients
- Build and maintain a personal pipeline of 50+ active prospects at any given time
- Attend events, venues, and industry networking events to build relationships and generate leads
- Target and close the premium tier — promoters with the potential to sell 1,500+ tickets per event
- Serve as the escalation point for promoters experiencing issues with the platform or their onboarding
- Build long-term relationships with the platform's highest-value promoters to reduce churn
- Gather promoter feedback and relay product improvement suggestions to the CEO and technical team
- Own weekly and monthly commercial reporting — onboardings by region, AM performance, pipeline conversion, revenue attribution
- Support the CEO in preparing investor updates and commercial performance summaries
- Represent Ticketdotter at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
About you
- Minimum 3 years in a B2B account management or field sales role
- Demonstrable track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience managing or mentoring junior sales staff or a remote team
- Comfortable with cold outreach — phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person
- Confident building relationships with business owners and entrepreneurs
- Self-managed, organised, and able to handle a high-volume pipeline without dropping balls
- Genuine understanding of or passion for the live events, music, or entertainment industry
- Strong communicator — you can present the platform clearly, handle objections confidently, and close
Experience that helps (but isn't required)
- Experience working in a startup or early-stage business where you have built something from scratch
- Existing network within the UK live events, music promotion, or entertainment industry
- Experience with CRM tools and structured pipeline management
- Understanding of ticketing platforms, event management software, or SaaS sales
- Experience recruiting and managing commission-only or self-employed sales agents
- Knowledge of the Spanish events market or ability to work across language/cultural boundaries
- Comfort with public speaking, industry presentations, or panel appearances
Commission structure
We have structured the package to be competitive for a bootstrapped, early-stage business with real traction and to reward the performance that drives growth. The base salary is what the business can sustain today. The OTE reflects what a strong performer will earn as the AM network scales. Both grow as the business grows. The Senior AM earns commission two ways: personal onboardings (same tier structure as all AMs) and override commission on onboardings made by AMs within their managed network.
Personal onboarding — promoter completes first event with 500+ tickets sold
Paid monthly in arrears alongside PAYE salary
Personal onboarding — promoter completes first event with 850+ tickets sold
Paid monthly in arrears alongside PAYE salary
Personal onboarding — promoter completes first event with 1,500+ tickets sold
Paid monthly in arrears. Plus override commission on every promoter onboarded by AMs you manage
Override rates and structure on the managed AM network will be confirmed at offer stage and set out in the employment contract. OTE is uncapped above plan for outperformance.
